That commitment became deeply personal after her husband developed skin cancer, despite using skincare that promised protection. The experience reshaped her perspective on the need for accountability in the beauty and healthcare space . When the existing skincare products failed to live up to their promises, her family set out to fulfill the need for accountable skincare.

With that, together with her husband, renowned dermatologist Dr. Dusan Sajic, Sonja co founded Sajic Skin Science, bringing together her expertise in healthcare leadership and his decades of clinical dermatology and scientific research. United by a shared vision, they created a clinically proven, accountable skincare brand for men and women that combines evidence-based science with advanced dermatological innovation to restore skin health, strengthen skin integrity, and support healthy longevity.

As Vice President of Sajic Skin Science, Sonja continues to shape the company’s vision with a focus on innovation, education, and empowerment.
